Shannon Jung is Professor Emeritus at Saint Paul School of Theology, Kansas City. He has been teaching environmental ethics at Saint Vincent School of Theology and De La Salle University in Manila, the Philippines, sponsored by the Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church initiative. He is author of three books on eating and growing — Food for Life, Sharing Food, and Hunger & Happiness, and is persuaded that the Christian practices associated with food have missional promise. He was Director of the Center for Theology and Land at Wartburg and Dubuque seminaries, and taught at Concordia College as well. One of his proudest achievements was initiating a community garden project on the campus of Saint Paul in Kansas City.
