Sister Nélida Naveros Córdova, CDP, earned a doctorate in New Testament and Early Christianity from Loyola University Chicago in 2016, a Master of Arts in Theology, with an emphasis in Biblical Studies from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Religious Studies and Multidisciplinary Studies, and a minor in Secondary Education from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, in 2005. Sr. Nélida is the author of Philo of Alexandria’s Ethical Discourse: Living in the Power of Piety and To Live in the Spirit: Paul and the Spirit of God, Philo of Alexandria: A Sourcebook, and of several scholarly publications. She is also the author of the forthcoming books, God’s Presence in Creation and The Parables of Jesus and the Power of Transformation in Virtue. She has presented scholarly papers in national and international conferences. In 2019, she began her position, Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies, at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Since 2020, she has been the Director of Graduate Programs in Theology and Ministry.
