Brendan Carson earned a BS in Ecology and Anthropology from the University of Michigan in 2008. He taught field-based environmental education in California and Texas before earning an MS in Entomology and Ecology from Michigan State University. While working as a research associate and instructor at Loyola University Chicago from 2014-2018, Brendan wrote and edited significant portions of the Food and Natural Resources chapters of the Healing Earth online textbook. He has expertise in natural history, ecology, wetland science, restoration, and science communication. Brendan is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.
