Dr. Rego is the Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for the Environment of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (NIMA PUC-Rio). The center is structured around thematic, multidisciplinary, environmental research groups, that enable holistic understanding and create projects to support a sustainable society. Dr. Rego is a professor of the Department of Geography – PUC-Rio and his research interest include models of the geographic space in GIS to support the analyses, activities and monitoring of the sustainability of local land.
