Tropics

A regional band around the Earth's equator extending 23.5 degrees north and south of the equator, where the sun is directly overhead when it reaches its most northerly or southerly point in the sky. The tropics typically do not have warm and cold seasons, but rather are always warm and may experience wet and dry seasons.
