Rev. Stephen Mitten serves as an Advance Lecturer within the Institute of Environmental Sustainability at Loyola University Chicago where he teaches Ecology, Biogeography, Conservation of Neotropical Ecosystems and Bird Conservation. He holds a master’s of science degree in tropical ecology and a graduate certificate in tropical biology and conservation both from the Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center, formerly the International Center for Tropical Ecology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a master’s degree in Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology-Berkeley. Fr. Stephen is interested in ecology, eco-spirituality and all things birds.
