Fr. Wiryono is the President of Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He holds doctoral and master’s degrees in agricultural education from Oklahoma State University, a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia and a bachelor degree in philosophy and theology from Sanata Dharma Teacher Training Institute, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Fr. Wiryono has a background in philosophy, theology, agriculture, economics and education. His presentations include “Case Study Approach as an Innovative Model to Increase Students’ Awareness and Ethical Concern on Global Food Issue,” May 2009 International Conference on Education: Responding to Global Education Challenges at Yogyakarta State University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia; and “Catholic Perspective: Building a Sense of World Community With More Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation” presented at the International Conference of ICMICA (International Catholic Movement for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs) at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia; and “Musyawarah: Adaptive Democratic Value for Catholic Leadership in Indonesia”, monograph published by Sanata Dharma University Press, Yogyakarta, 2013
