Veronica Gaylie, Ph.D.

Veronica Gaylie is an environmental educator and writer from Vancouver Canada with fifteen years experience developing new programs in ecology-centered education. She has written two books on the subject: The Learning Garden: Ecology, Teaching and Transformation, and Roots and Research in The Urban School Garden (Peter Lang Publishing, New York). She currently serves as an associate professor of environmental education at the University of British Columbia and is the founder of the campus Learning Garden.  Veronica studies and teaches eco-justice through a combination of ecology, spirituality, ethics and action.  She is the founder and director of Sacre Verte, a non-profit NGO focused on global climate change education. She is currently on study leave learning and teaching organic farming in Kenya.
